What to Expect |
- At this age we continue to focus on fun and sportsmanship but start to introduce the shape of the formations, game, and the detail of skill. We discuss a little more in detail the importance of set plays, support each other on the field, and returning to your current positions area of responsibility.
|
Coaches Request |
- Please allow the coaches to coach during practices as well as during the games. What your athlete and coach need from you most is the outpouring enthusiastic support of their number 1 fans. Please make sure you are helping keep it fun. I respect your opinion and feedback, but let’s make sure and discuss certain information away from the field, away from the athletes, and away from the other parents.
|
Games |
- There are no set positions. We keep score, wins, and loses, but are not defined by them. We do not have set positions yet but may start to identify certain talents.
|
Team Manager |
- We need one or two team managers. These persons will organize snacks and drinks for after the games. Organize team convoys, reserve hotel rooms for tournaments, inform parents of important information during practice, comfort an athlete on the sideline of practice or a game while the parents are contacted. This is an important part of our soccer family. At times we will be split into two teams for a tournament and having two team managers will make this easy and smooth. This is also important so the coaches can focus on teaching/coaching your athlete during practices and focusing on their needs. Please let me know if you are interested.
