Mitchell Soccer Association
Minutes of 9-15-08
Present: Tom Berg, Deanna Wempe, Tonya Meaney, Laurie Hamar, Coach Duff, Terry Asleson, Steven Ptak, Rose Menning, Barb Gronseth, Nancy Torgeson and Jeff Smernik
Absent: Coach Duff, Denise Werner, Kami Martin, and Scott Muillenmeister
Minutes: There were no corrections to the minutes.
Agenda:
Concessions: A spreadsheet for concssions was submitted by Steve Ptak. The concessions is averaging about $100 a night. The biggest expense is the cost for referees. Thank you Steve for tightening the concessions issue. Most dates are filled on the concessions schedule. The DWU games are hard to fill. Rose Mennig is heading up the concessions scheduling. Thank you Rosemary Menning.
U-14: All U-14 referees will be paid at the end of the season. There won’t be a reimbursement of fees because there have been 10 games scheduled. The coach of the U-14 team is Jeff Smernik. Thanks go out to Laurie Hamar and Deanna Wempe for setting up the U-14 games.
End of Year Soccer Dinner: The girl’s soccer dinner will be October 7 at 6:30 pm at Mitchell High School. The boy’s dinner will be October 9 at 6:30 pm at Pizza Ranch.
Scholarship: A MOTION was given by Tonya Meaney to allow a scholarship for soccer fees, at the discretion of the board. Deanna Wempe seconded the motion. MOTION carried.
Refund: A refund of $65 to Jodi Lambert because of a broken foot suffered by her son early in the season.
Next meeting: The next meeting for MSA is set for October 13, 2008 at 7:00 pm at the Mitchell Parks and Rec.
